তারেক রহমান
Acting Chairman, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (since 2018)
Born 20 November 1965. Elected Senior Vice-Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party at its 2009 national council and serving as the party's Acting Chairman since February 2018.
The Forum records his emphasis on youth skills, technology and self-reliance as an inspiration for its training, ICT and digital-safety work. This is a Forum viewpoint, not an independent finding.

Freedom fighter (Bir Uttom) · 7th President of Bangladesh (1977–1981) · Founder of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party
Sector commander of the 1971 Liberation War, later President of Bangladesh and founder of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. Remembered for his self-reliance, food-production and rural development programmes.

First woman Prime Minister of Bangladesh · Chairperson, Bangladesh Nationalist Party
Became Bangladesh's first woman Prime Minister in 1991 and has led the Bangladesh Nationalist Party as its Chairperson. Her governments are associated with the expansion of free primary and girls' secondary education.
